What: Dubstep 140 bpm glitchy magical sub-laden music.. After the success of Kokeshi’s first full vinyl release with Lung’s dreamy dubstep ‘Afterlife’ single, Alley Cat is back pushing her Kokeshi project once again; this time on co-production duties. Joining up with Kiat from Singapore , this veteran has a well-cultivated back-catalogue including releases on Soul:r and Hospital. A : ‘Purple Clouds’ (Kiat and Alley Cat) gives a nod to the old school electro that has influenced many of us in electronic music today. It offers a bit of a glitchier mood while lots of layers of pads and percussion add to the feel. AA: Kiat goes solo for ‘Missing Channel’ and offers a super-fun-to-mix tune with an epic intro and a naughty little bassline, proving you can make a dubstep tune that rocks without the wobble.
