West London born and raised, Silkie started producing Grime and Garage at the tender age of 15. Part of the Anti Social collective alongside Quest, Harry Craze and J5, nowadays his sound joins the dots between dubstep, UK garage and Detroit techno. Having released records on Anti Social’s own imprint Break the Habit, as well as Skream’s Disfigured Dubz and the legendary Soul Jazz address, he is now signed to Mala’s quality house: Deep Medi.
Silkie’s rise to prominence has been documented by several high profile achievements, including the acclaimed release of his City Limits album on Deep Medi and being personally chosen by Mala to feature on Mary Anne Hobbs’ legendary Generation Bass show. Now putting the finishing touches to his second album, you can expect to hear a lot more from this innovative producer.
