Destined to become the soundtrack to a thousand outdoor parties, Five Summers’ builds on the cheeky bass and lolloping rhythmic blueprint laid out by 2009’s ‘If I Could Tell You’, blossoming into a full-blown cacophony of organic and synthetic instrumentation. Heavenly guitars and choral vocals blend seamlessly with glitched out drum edits showcasing Blu Mar Ten’s unique talent for carving out a strictly sensual and feminine sound in a genre dominated by masculinity. 

Blu Mar Ten & Inside Info – Still The One:

Following a chance meeting in a Slovakian D&B club Blu Mar Ten & InsideInfo raised a few eyebrows when they announced a collaborative project early in 2011. With a solid discography of dancefloor smashers on labels that include Critical, Viper, Mainframe, Horizons and Breed, InsideInfo is renowned for his thundering basslines and pounding drums. Coupling his skills with Blu Mar Ten’s denser orchestration has given birth to Still The One, the first mutant offspring of this unlikely musical hookup.

An introduction of skittering arpeggios and hissing cinematic drones gives way to rasping bass stabs, aggressively popping house chords and a large diva vocal. Layers of 80s riffs and crafted soundscapes are all powered along by trademark InsideInfo drum-craft, proving once and for all that dominating a dancefloor doesn’t have to come at the cost of emotional content.
