Shortstuff changes name, readies Swamp 81 material

Really-quite-ahead-of-his-time-in-retrospect UK producer Shortstuff has changed his name to Mickey Pearce.

In truth, Mickey Pearce was an alias that Shortstuff had used for some time, for his edits of Ms Dynamite, Cassie and more, but this Winter he’ll be switching full-time, with the first full Mickey Pearce 12?, ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Get’ b/w ‘I Am’, due for a late October/early November release on Swamp81.

Of the decision to switch, Pearce says “to be honest, the Mickey Pearce productions were always where I felt more comfortable. Towards the end of last year I was getting more and more disillusioned with the old name and some of the associations that went with it, so it felt like a good time to make the change.”
